Bio:

 

My research interests are in Bayesian Artificial Intelligence for causal discovery and intelligent decision making under uncertainty. I collaborate with academics and industrial organisations world-wide and I apply my research to a wide range of areas including sports, economics, medicine, finance, and gaming.

May 2018: My model 'Dolores' which ranked 2nd in the international competition Machine Learning for Soccer, has now been published in the Machine Learning journal. Moreover, the winners of the competition based their model on our pi-ratings system. Links to: Free view, DOI, draft.

 

Apr 2018: The Significance magazine (of the Royal Statistical Society and the American Statistical Association) has just published our article "Things to know about Bayesian Networks". Open access here.

 

Jan 2018: We have 12 four-year PhD studentships to start September 2018, offered through the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (IGGI). The studentships will fund full fees at Home/EU rate, and provide an annual tax-free living stipend between £14.5 and £16k, depending on the host University.
